Paul practices at the interface of criminal and commercial law.  He represents people and companies under investigation for or accused of unlawful conduct typically in matters alleging RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) violations, civil and criminal conspiracies, fraud, theft, and other related offenses.

Practicing in federal and state court, Paul is one of the few lawyers to have tried a terrorism case to a jury; and most recently was part of the trial team that won a very large jury verdict for an individual plaintiff in a commercial dispute.

Paul joined GBBS in 2010.  He earned his law degree at the University of Minnesota with high honors, and was the first student in the history of the school’s largest moot court program to win both the best brief and best oralist awards.  As a lawyer, Paul has written briefs in both the federal and state appellate courts.

Before attending law school, Paul was both a financial analyst and a firefighter.



United States v. Mahamud Said Omar.  Co-counsel for a Somali-born man charged with terrorism-related offenses.  Three week long federal jury trial in front of Chief Judge Michael Davis.

United States v. McArthur, et al. Co-counsel to one of the lead defendants in a twenty-five defendant racketeering case.

United States v. Robert Paul Bossany, Jr. Wrote appellate brief to the Eighth Circuit for a client convicted of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering.


James Render v. LCM Development, LLC and John Prins. Co-counsel for plaintiff in a breach of contract claim involving the development of real estate in Arizona.  Jury returned a verdict nearly a million dollars in favor of plaintiff.

Target Corp. v. LCH Pavement Consulting, LLC, et al. Co-counsel for paving contractor and corporation in a twelve-defendant lawsuit alleging RICO violations, fraud, breach of contract, and violations of the Sherman Antitrust Act.


In the Matter of “XYZ”. Won a large confidential pre-lawsuit settlement against a healthcare provider.  Clients came to Paul after a law firm with over 35 years of medical malpractice experience investigated the case and told them there was nothing they could do.
