Ian recognizes that people have unique legal problems and is committed to guiding his clients through their individual legal issues. Ian focuses on white collar criminal defense as well as complex financial issues, blue collar criminal defense corporate investigations, police brutality, civil rights, and personal injury law. Ian has appeared in various cases across Minnesota state and federal court and has co-chaired a federal criminal trial.
Ian grew up in Eden Prairie, MN, where he was a National Merit Finalist. After graduating high school, he went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he double-majored with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and a Bachelors of Science in philosophy. After graduating in 2011, he attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was a Robina Scholar and graduated with honors. While at the University of Minnesota Law School, Ian worked for Gaskins Bennett Birrell Schupp LLP as a law clerk. After graduating in 2014, Ian joined the firm as a full-time attorney.
